Company Description
Auchan Polska is one of the leading food retail players in Poland and part of the French Auchan Group, with a presence in the country since the mid-1990s. Over the years, it has built a strong footprint through a network of hypermarkets, supermarkets, and a growing e-commerce platform.
In a highly competitive retail landscape, the company continues to focus on operational efficiency, supply chain optimisation, and digital transformation, reinforcing its role as a key player in Poland’s modern retail ecosystem.
Service Description
Auchan Polska is taking another step towards decarbonisation with the launch of a new photovoltaic installation at its site in Płock, developed in partnership with Helexia, a collaboration that reflects the growing role of energy as a strategic lever in the retail sector.
With a total installed capacity of 1.14 MWp, the system comprises 2,750 high-efficiency modules (415 Wp) and 10 inverters of 100 kW each. It is expected to generate around 1,040 MWh of renewable electricity annually, contributing to a more resilient and sustainable energy model.
Beyond its technical scale, the impact is tangible: the installation will avoid approximately 631 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, equivalent to planting more than 31,000 trees, while producing enough energy to meet the annual consumption of around 347 households.
This project reinforces Auchan Polska’s commitment to sustainability while highlighting Helexia’s role in supporting companies through an integrated approach to energy, combining production, optimisation and long-term performance, to increase competitiveness, resilience, and independence from the grid.
