Company Description
Xperience Parque Rioja, in Logroño, is a new leisure and dining concept designed to transform the shopping centre visit into a full day-out experience.
With an extension of approximately 9,000 m2, the space combines food & beverage, entertainment and wellness in a contemporary and dynamic environment designed for different generations and visitor profiles. The concept integrates a gym, trampoline park, virtual reality experiences, restaurants and social gathering areas.
Inspired by an urban and industrial aesthetic, Xperience Parque Rioja aims to create a distinctive atmosphere where leisure, experience and social interaction play a central role in the new generation of shopping centres.
Service Description
Helexia has commissioned a new photovoltaic installation on the rooftop of Xperience Parque Rioja, the leisure and dining destination within Parque Rioja Shopping Centre, managed by Nhood in Logroño. The project reinforces the shared commitment of both companies to the energy transition and the decarbonization of the retail sector.
Developed on the Xperience Parque Rioja leisure and F&B area, the installation has an installed capacity of 102 kWp and includes 181 photovoltaic modules, designed to maximize on-site renewable energy generation for self-consumption.
The system is expected to generate approximately 133 MWh of renewable electricity annually, covering around 28% of the energy demand of the Xperience space. In addition, it will help avoid approximately 18 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, directly contributing to the reduction of the centre’s carbon footprint and improving its overall energy performance.
According to Andrés Barrio, “this initiative reflects Nhood’s commitment to a more responsible and sustainable real estate transformation. Through our ESG strategy, we work alongside our clients to evolve their assets into more efficient, resilient spaces aligned with European climate objectives. In a global context marked by energy uncertainty and rising pressure on energy systems, improving the energy independence of the assets we manage remains a strategic priority for Nhood.

This new installation further strengthens our commitment to clean, affordable and secure energy, while generating a positive and sustainable impact on the territories and communities where we operate.”
Etienne Le Pargneux highlighted that this project — the second developed together with Nhood following the photovoltaic installation at Vialia Vigo Shopping Centre — “represents another step forward in the integration of decentralized energy solutions within commercial environments, demonstrating that on-site renewable generation is key to accelerating decarbonization and improving the competitiveness of retail assets.”
