Company Description

AGC, a world leader in the production of flat glass, is at the forefront of developing products with the highest environmental quality and seeks to use production processes that minimise its impact. The Group considers Sustainability as a fundamental part of its Corporate Social Values and a prerequisite in all its activities.

AGC aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and has set itself a transitional target of a 30% reduction in GHG emissions and a 50% reduction in GHG emissions per unit of sales by 2030 (Scope 1, 2 and 3; reductions from 2019 levels), improving its energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewable energy in the total consumption of its production units.

Service Description

In line with this vision, AGC Flat Glass Europe, AGC’s European subsidiary, has partnered with Helexia to harness the photovoltaic potential of its largest industrial unit in Spain, which is dedicated to the production of float glass.

The installation, designed and implemented by Helexia Spain, has been efficiently integrated into the roof. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art components and optimised use of its energy, AGC Flat Glass Ibérica will significantly reduce its dependence on conventional energy sources, strengthening its environmental commitment and reducing its costs.
